I am a graduate of the Biological Sciences program at the University of Maryland College Park, and a marathon runner with a passion for raising awareness and funds for cancer research.I am eager to apply the lessons I have learned in creative problem solving and operating technical equipment to a clinical laboratory environment. My desire to contribute to medical research and immunology stems from my passion for wanting to help others and to affect positive change in the world.Becoming the first person with dwarfism to complete the Marine Corps Marathon has been my most significant endeavor outside of college, proving to myself and others that dwarfism does not limit my ability to achieve. And, equally important, I ran with Team LUNGevity to raise lung cancer awareness and funds for critical research, patient education, and support programs.Through my involvement with LUNGevity Foundation, I have learned that compassion is at the center of medicine and patient advocacy. The oncologists who have left the most profound impressions on me are those who possess great intellect and show genuine compassion for their patients. They have inspired me and set examples for the kind of clinician I aspire to be.Specialties: Traditional lab skills, bacteriology skills, immunology skills, DNA isolation, chromatography, spirometry, subcutaneous and oral immunotherapy
