I work within the Automation Team who help in the supporting of the daily operation of test bed automation systems and integration of associated analytical equipment, instrumentation and application systems in the JLR powertrain chassis dyno test facilities in Whitley and the new engineering centre (NPDC). Part of my daily Tasks are to Help and support workflows that meet user requirements for the engineering teams While fully meeting the legal requirements required by the JLR Certification teams and Government bodies. My Current role supports the development and certification of ICE, hybrid and BEV vehicles ready for future Markets around the World. I support the Powertrain Testing Teams to meet their programme timing plans by providing appropriate functionality and robustness to the Chassis Dyno Test Cells. Currently on the Test cells at Whitley we are Using Orbit X and IGEM 2 Automation Systems where I have had involvement in their infancy and helped in supporting their development to get the Automation Systems to where they are today,I have experience in supporting overall system robustness, uptime and disaster recovery actions in support of various metrics and KPIs used by different teams and working with these teams and have made the Test Cells more robust than before.To achieve this focus and support of the test cells I use a range of on-line and off-line tools Such as Concerto and Navigator/Engineers Office. I have deep knowledge of IGEM 2 Workflows and how IGEM 2 works in the Front and Back End of the Automation System as well as PUMA knowledge. Also have INCA knowledge to help support the Customers with there logging requirements. My Daily routine workflow includes day-day supporting of system issues resolution and minor enhancements to maintain effective productive work using formal problem-solving methodology.Other Knowledge of Automation Systems Orbit X on CD3, CD4 and CD5 in building 12 and PC vets (legacy system now removed).I have years of experience using associated test bed instrumentation and systems (INCA, gaseous and particulate emissions systems etc.) , Carried out many SPDs and other Problem solving projects, Test facility Mechanical and electrical hardware aswel as global emission regulations.All this helps me perform my Current role to a high standard.
