About Benjamin Burrows
I have practiced medicine for 15 years, having spent 6 years in anaesthesia before moving into primary care. Throughout my career I have maintained an active interest in medical law and ethics, which stems from a lifelong interest in philosophy. I have completed a degree in medical ethics, and I have also studied law culminating in being called to the English Bar with Gray's Inn. I have presented on medical law and ethics within my region, country and Europe. I am regularly engaged in complex medicolegal aspects of clinical care and my passion is to facilitate safe medical care whilst also ensuring maximum patient involvement in the healthcare decision making process.Outside of medicine I am interested in all sports, particularly cycling and running. My sporting interest and medical career have also provided me with interesting international opportunities, having been employed by the FIA in both Formula One Motorsport and World Rally. I have also provided medical assistance for expeditions and events both within the UK and around the world.
