Ben is an integral member of the Oakland Office’s senior team, bringing significant expertise in economic analysis, real estate, public infrastructure, environmental regulation, and public policy. His recent high-profile projects include work for the Port of San Francisco on its Waterfront Land Use Plan, the Economic Sustainability Plan for the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta, the University of California’s Economic Impact to the State of California, and Quantifying our Quality of Life – An Economic Analysis of the East Bay’s Unique Environment (for the East Bay Regional Park District). Ben also works extensively with private sector clients, providing advisory services and technical studies related to land use planning, project financing, and entitlement.An economist by training, Ben has been assisting public, private, not-for-profit, and institutional clients with economic and financial analyses since the late 1990s. His prior work experience includes time at Industrial Economics, Inc., Economics Research Associates, and AECOM. Since joining EPS, Ben has gained experience in all aspects of the firm's practice and has made notable contributions to the company and its clients. Ben has earned the respect of his colleagues and clients through his thoughtful analytic work, creativity, and dedication. In his role as Principal, Ben maintains his focus on practice but also contributes to firm-wide management and strategy.
