As a Mathematical Sciences graduate, I have studied pure mathematics as well as the application of mathematics in different areas of science, specifically in the ecology, climate change and renewable energy sectors. Upon leaving education and starting working life, I have unearthed a desire to seek a meaningful career which makes a positive impact on society.The practical skills I have obtained in my current role within market research include qualitative and quantitative data analysis and liaising with external stakeholders. Using Microsoft Excel, I tidy, manipulate and interpret data, allowing me to confidently navigate spreadsheets when dealing with large datasets. Working in conjunction with Procter & Gamble’s R&D department, I have the responsibility of planning, delegating, and executing tests, meaning I am exceptionally organised and a confident communicator.I have established myself as a proficient, fair team leader by coordinating simultaneous studies, ensuring a manageable and achievable workload is given to the team. I devise alternative study designs and propose alternative scheduling ideas where needed, which has given me experience in negotiating and enabled me to be solution focused. I pride myself on working well in a team and being trained across multiple departments means I am able to cover others shifts, help my colleagues and gives me specific insights into how different processes work.
