Support IBM DB2 Database system in a large Environment. Perform system maintenance and performance changes. Stability is a high priority.Support Data propagation, DB2 tools, Omegamon DB2, Query Monitor, IDAA.Conversion from DB2 9 to DB2 10 experience and now DB2 11 experience.Been responsible for DB2 for z/OS since 2004 in a large environment. Prior to this worked with CICS product installing and maintaining in the same large environment. The demands on the job have grown since 2004 with a large number of non z/OS systems connecting to DB2 for z/OS. Data replication is a major part of the daily responsibilities along with any issues with DB2 z/OS. Responding to alerts and pages keeps me busy ensuring DB2 is working at the highest level of stability. The week long on call duties can be challenging and my team is great at supporting each other during those challenging times. I look forward to the migration to DB2 11 for z/OS for I think it will be adopted much quicker than even DB2 10 was.
