In my time at AMD, I have had the opportunity to work with operations, maintenance, engineering, and other SMEs to develop innovative solutions to increase throughput, efficiency and operator safety while maintaining product quality. 16-month professional internship as the Asset Engineer (AE) supporting the #2 Continuous Tower Anneal and the 56" 2 Stand Temper Mill in the Tinplate stream. • Internship developing innovative solutions to increase throughput, efficiency and operator safety while maintaining product quality for assets in the Tinplate stream• Worked as a team leader and team member to improve asset operation and reliability through maintenance and improvement projects on gearboxes, rollers, bearings, lifting equipment, motors, reactors, furnaces, hydraulics, lubrication, pumps/blowers, piping, and HVAC filtration• Led 30 root cause analyses and developed cause maps to address process/equipment issues• Prepared and presented project scope, action plan options including GANTT chart/costing/ROI, and recommendations to Department and Business Unit (BU) management for 5 projects; provided biweekly status updates to BU management on numerous other projects• Consulted engineering, skilled trades, operations, vendors, and 3rd party subject matter experts to determine project scope and design solutions for over 30 projects• Extensive experience reading drawings and adapting or creating models/drawings as needed in SOLIDWORKS for assets ranging from 1950s-era to newly acquired equipment• Prioritized safety by performing over 50 hazard recognition assessments to identify and address risks on the mill floor

In my time at DXC, I have had the opportunity to learn from both mentors and co-workers about solution consulting and the A&D industry. A primary focus of the internship was the application of Design Thinking through Agile & Scrum in a DevOps environment.• Developed Excel workbooks to capture and aggregate tens of thousands of unique entries from 20 participants for real-time manipulation and evaluation during virtual workshops• Applied design thinking to identify user requirements and map them to software capabilities; employed Scrum and Agile to develop ideal solutions to everchanging client needs• Developed and co-led a workshop on the implementation of digital tools in virtual workshops• IIoT/IoT, PLM, MES, Smart Factory, Dynamic Scheduling
