Hailing from New Orleans, LA, Ignite has been heavily involved in music since the early age of three-years-old. Starting out as a singing street performer, Ignite soon began to incorporate instrumentation into his acts which would ultimately broaden his understanding of music. Through his childhood years of homelessness and foster care, Ignite began to cherish music even more as it became his only coping method when dealing with his harsh and nightmarish surroundings. At the age of thirteen, Ignite began to learn to play the guitar and within that same year he would teach himself to write rap verses that would complement his guitar playing. As a decade would pass, Ignite would continue to learn new many skills that would enable him to have complete control over his sound. Today, Ignite is a rapper, singer/songwriter, guitarist, recording engineer, and videographer. “I have complete control over the content that follows my name. Every vision I have must be manifested in the exact way that I envisioned it, that is the reason I maintain complete control over its creation within the production process. That is the only way I will ever be confident enough to present my work to my followers.” -Ignite
