I have more than 15 years of experience with all aspects of workforce development programs, with a regional employment board as well as the Asian American Civic Association and refugee resettlement programs, developing, implementing, analyzing, and improving programs that provide employment, retention, advancement, and career planning programs for unemployed workers as well as youth, veterans, and refugees.I have worked closely with state and federal funding agencies and elected officials as well as corporate, commercial, and educational partners, to develop, assess, renew, and expand programs that advance employment, career planning, and retention goals. Most recently, I have provided oversight for six workforce development grants to the Boston Metro North Regional Career Center and to community partners in 16 cities and towns of the Metro North region.Highlights include:At Metro-North Regional Employment Board – Oversaw the assessment process that led to a transition from contracting to a direct service model for youth servicesAt the Employment Board – Won extended funding from the Walmart Foundation, to implement a program that taught soft skills to entry-level retail workers, supporting advancement into managerial rolesAt the Employment Board – Led the Career Center through a transition to a new operator, overseeing onboarding and working with leaders to establish workflows and resolve startup issues
