- Senior design capstone project with Halliburton took overall 1st place in Mechanical Engineering for Texas A&M’s 2024 Engineering Project Showcase. - Redesigned Halliburton’s cement well mixing head for improved ergonomics for the operators and overall efficiency between uses and cleaning times.- Cement mixing head weight reduced by >75%, implemented a safer union attachment to eliminate pinch points and incorporated internal modifications to increase efficiency and reduce down time between cleanings.- Projects involving this mixing head span the nation with over 1000 times a month. Optimizing the ergonomics to reduce operator injuries and decrease time between cleanings and uses are significant issues my team is working on solving.

Greater Houston

- Lead an engineering project to redesign 2 heat exchangers in the distillation unit of the PEMEX | EX. Shell refinery that has had accelerated corrosion, fouling, & heat transfer issues affecting their mechanical integrity. This problem has been happening since 1984.- Heat exchanger metallurgy, tube wall thickness, & process environment redesign lead to potential savings of over $33MM for the expected life time of the unit with the current margins, as well as priceless process quality, safety, & environmental benefits.- Regularly collaborated and lead meetings with process, chemical, petroleum, mechanical engineers, & inspectors to determine the best process environment redesign solution from P&IDs & Radical view to extend the lifetime of the 2 heat exchangers outside of mechanical engineering solutions.- Collaborated and met with senior & material engineer/metallurgist to determine the best metallurgy upgrade for the current process conditions (heat transfer rate & mechanical integrity).- Prepared an upgrade specification sheet to then reach out for quotes to approved heat exchanger manufactures.- Performed a life cycle cost analysis to evaluate & choose the best option between the current vs new design.- Presented an end of term engineering presentation to the vice president of engineering along with other senior & unit manager engineers to share assessment finds and best path forward.

-Lead a team of passionate engineers to design and test a model front wing for a formula student car with Texas A&M FSAE development aerodynamics subteam. Texas A&M FSAE ranked #1 in the US (2021)
