When I left high school in the US to attend university in Switzerland, my future was quite uncertain in the best of ways. After spending many years immersed in this uncertainty and surmounting countless academic challenges, I am looking forward to bringing my determination and learned skills to industry. My goal has always been to find a project that inspires me, and my preparation has been to follow my interests and study a very diverse range of subjects. Having studied everything from electromagnetic systems to snow science and sustainable development, I have the skills needed to jump aboard any project that piques my interest and thrive. I recognize the many severe threats to our environment and feel a calling to apply myself to projects that address them in my work.

The Point Velo is EPFL's bike shop serving the students and staff of the school. We are a team of 13 mechanics who, in addition to our studies at EPFL, repair the bikes of the community with the goal of maximizing the number of bikes on the road. We prioritize repairing components as much as possible and use recycled parts when necessary, reducing costs for the students and our environmental impact. In addition, we collect, repair, and resell abandoned bikes at a reduced cost to the EPFL community. Last, we hold free mechanics courses where we teach students how to repair their own bikes.
