I worked with the great team at Alpine Mechanical service for ten year's, in that time I went from apprentice mechanic to second in charge.It was great experience with -Team work and leadership-Customer care-Money transactions-Critical thinking and Problem solving In my time in the automotive trade I gained valuable experience and knowledge in working independently and as a team, the automotive trade requires strong independence and critical thinking skills to overcome problems during vehicle repairs. I have spend a couple of years working in a workshop manager role, this included greeting customers and advising them of the repairs needed for there vehicle, ordering stock and parts from suppliers, creating invoices and managing costs and profit, managing employees and directing work schedules. The greatest challenge for me was understanding and working with customers to reach their needs but also the safety of the customers in their vehicles, the inherent dangers associated with vehicle under-servicing and the affordability of repair.I greatly appreciate the time I had working at Alpine Mechanical service, the experience I gained and the journey to adulthood throughout are priceless and somethink I would not change. I am proud to have worked there.
