As the Engineering Manager at Connected Mining Solutions, I oversee and coordinate a broad spectrum of engineering activities, ensuring that all projects align with our core mission of delivering customer-focused solutions in the mining industry. My role involves a blend of strategic planning, technical oversight, and hands-on management, catering to both large-scale shutdown execution and bespoke engineering services.

Providing local and remote support for companies and their industrial electrical equipment. Draglines, rope shovels and drills are my specialty.

Worked within a small team of people tasked with maintaining Queensland’s Dragline and Shovel fleet that fall under the Caterpillar banner. The role was a technical one, calling upon diagnosis and fault finding skills and also developing and implementing design improvements.

Employed with Hastings Deering and based permanently at Jellinbah Central Mine, Blackwater as an electrician. I was the sole maintainer of a fleet of Terex MT3700 AC drive trucks and carried out routine maintenance and breakdown repair on this fleet. My role also included some mechanical work, when required, as well as organising parts and planning of shutdowns and major overhauls on them.

I was employed at Callide Mine as an electrician, performing maintenance work on the various range of plant and heavy earth moving equipment, as well as the installation of a wide range of electrical apparatus on site.
