Ben Corwin is a naturally curious analytics and growth leader and part-time MBA student at University of Washington Foster School of Business. Ben currently runs marketing for Smiling Woods, a panelized building manufacturer, and recently ran growth marketing and data and analytics functions at Abodu, a soup-to-nuts modular ADU & cottage home developer. Ben enjoys building better businesses and products through data analytics and storytelling, starting with his first analyst internship with PEMCO Insurance in 2014 up through time at Coinbase in 2020 and 2021, and Remitly in 2021-2022.Ben currently splits time between Seattle, WA, the Methow Valley, WA, and Aspen, CO. Ben loves to trail run (and has finished the Leadville Traill 100 and other high-altitude endurance races) and ski (both backcountry and cross-country), and pursue these activities around the globe. In prior roles consulting at Analysis Group, Ben led small teams under intense time pressure, and delivered exceptional economic and strategy consulting to clients in banking, manufacturing, technology, retail, and more. At Williams College, Ben specialized in Mathematics, Biology, Environmental Studies and Planning. He was the bike rental and shop program manager and co-founder at Purple Bike Coalition, and an NCAA Division I nordic skier. At Foster, Ben is regarded for his out-of-the-box ideas and holistic understanding of the businesses he encounters. Ben also believes in conserving and stewarding our wild places, and is a part-time volunteer wilderness ranger for USFS White River National Forest (Holy Cross and Eagles Nest Wilderness Areas). During the summer of 2019, he was able to transition to full-time work with the Forest Service, and helped manage the Glenwood Canyon and Hanging Lake corridor during the first year of permit operations. Ben's latest hospitality investment is Stay Slate, a basecamp in Washington's Methow Valley currently undergoing renovations. He is also the founder and manager of two backcountry huts at Gondola Cabins at Holy Cross, a property located at 11,700 feet between Vail and Aspen, and bordering the White River National Forest. Ben believes deeply in the power of disconnecting from the world and reconnecting with the natural environment, and has partnered with Airbnb's OMG! fund to make Gondola Village at Holy Cross accessible to the public. Outdoor hospitality has been in Ben's family for generations, and Ben provides world-class experiences for friends and guests alike, wherever he is.
