Provide support for over 15,000 fixed and mobile devices, 11000 users across over 30 Forcewide applications and over 100 other applications.The key outputs for my role as a Service Desk Operator were:• Support, maintain and develop a wide-range of IT technologies, including servers, storage, virtualisation and thin client environments, services and applications.• Focused on improving efficiency by developing and sharing PowerShell scripts and Microsoft Orchestrator runbooks to automate and simplify common tasks.• Assist users with Incidents and Service Requests via the web self-service.• Ensure that incidents and service requests are recorded accurately to allow for searching and monitoring of issues and trends.• Record and document fixes and procedures and store them in the Knowledge Base for colleagues to share.• Contact suppliers to report system faults and liaise until the system is fully functional. Also responsible for contacting suppliers to seek professional guidance.• Take personal responsibility for investigating problems and trends in performance whilst all the while proposing solutions to said issues.
