-Performing various tasks associated with magazine production, including writing, interviewing, proofreading, research, fact-checking and photography-Gaining real-world experience working for a publication-Creating and editing content for three separate magazines: Durham Magazine, Chapel Hill Magazine and Chatham Magazine

-Overseeing a dorm floor of 46 residents-Working to ensure a smooth transition to UF for the residents, who are mostly freshmen, by making them feel welcome and being available to talk to about anything-Gaining experience counseling and guiding students as they navigate new lives in college

I worked for two months as an intern at Wayfarer Studios. This involved doing extensive research for stories and topics that Wayfarer was adapting to the screen, or considering adapting. I wrote coverages, in which I specifically detailed how I thought stories could best be portrayed onscreen. Topics I researched include the Challenger Space Shuttle disaster, the story of one of the first black lawyers to present a case before the Supreme Court, the only coup d'etat in American history, Alexandre Dumas's father and his influence on his son's writings, among others. I also read and evaluated submitted scripts for short films.
