I worked in the computational bio-medicine group in the Computational Science Lab at the University of Amsterdam. My specific focus was to develop multi-scale and multi-domain modeling methods of blood flow and the transport properties of whole blood using cell resolved simulations.. Due to the computational overhead of cell resolved blood flow models, a blood flow model is developed over multiple spatial scales which accurately and efficiantly captures the non-Newtonian rheology of whole blood informed on the micron scale and raises it to the millimeter scale.
