My primary responsibility was to the Chairwoman with long-term research efforts and client relations. I stay appraised of documents coming from a variety of government agencies, think tanks, and corporate sources and help analyze their relevance to our current projects. In addition I contribute press outreach through blog posts, op-eds, and policy papers.Specific duties include but are not limited to:• Assist the president, former U.S. International Trade Commission Chairwoman (USITC), The Honorable Paula Stern, with research and writing in public policy consulting assignments.• Provide research support for trade cases at the USITC and Department of Commerce.• Manage correspondence for president with various officials including government officials, members of congress, and corporate executives for conferences and events• Prepare background materials for meetings with various high-profile government officials and corporate executives.• Communicate with clients via written correspondence, providing summary and analysis of relevant legislation and events attended on clients’ behalf• Compose speeches on U.S. political climate and its foreign policy and trade implications • Oversee internship program• Provide support for Chairwoman in her role as a member of US government advisory committees and not-for-profit organizations• Administer the firm's finances including invoices and expenses.
