Project Management of diverse childhood obesity preventative health interventions that span the gamut from working with Corporate Stakeholders, Insurance Companies. Schools and Industry leaders who are collaborating to make an impact in the field of Childhood Obesity prevention. Identify strategic partnership opportunities, establish introductory/informational meetings, foster relationships with partners and act as a liaison between multiple stakeholder groups. Facilitate check-in calls, maintain relationships, schedule meetings, coordinate and organize webinars with signatory stakeholders as part of the implementation and operation of the Healthier Generation Benefit program. Develop, update and edit evaluation deliverables and strategies in collaboration with our evaluation consultant group.Research specific topics focused on Strategic Alliance team projects and create one-pagers, detailed reports and spreadsheets. Supervise, coach and mentor interns while guiding them through measured goals and evaluate progress each semester.

Strategic planning and implementation of a multi-level evaluation for a pilot program across Los Angeles county farmers markets. The Market Match program encourages and empowers families with children 5 and under who receive food subsidies to purchase fresh fruits and vegetables at farmers markets. The program provides a matching voucher to the consumers, doubling their purchasing power, allowing low income families the chance to shop at farmers markets.Instructed, trained and supervised team of multi-lingual surveyors, organized scheduling and developed an outreach strategy for 7 different farmers’ market locations across Los Angeles. Participated in data collection activities including pretesting survey instruments, administering surveys to consumers, managers and recording direct observations of daily operations.Managed the organization and delivery of our goal of 200 completed research instruments to client through Excel spreadsheets and qualitative reports during our first 3 months of evaluation.

Coordinated with a team of multidisciplinary graduate students, we implemented a grant from Covered California to educate and enroll young uninsured Californians,. Led a special outreach event at the MLK parade while accompanying the Covered California float.Assisted in the implementation of a $500,000 outreach and education grant issued by Covered California. Trained and managed a team working across the Los Angeles Community College District. Organized and develop enrollment events which included outreach, education and signing up for health insurance. Focused campaign on education and enrollment of a young uninsured population via tabling and classroom presentations for up to 30 students at once

Managed all land based operations during outdoor school and camp on the beach. Supervised and delegated daily operational responsibilities to 10 staff members while supervising up to 75 students at a time. Maintain high energy learning environment, while ensuring safety during all activities.  Developed land-based health and fitness lessons and activities for as many as 150 students. Adapted all educational experiences for different age groups ranging from 4 to 16 years old. Maintained a holistic approach to the children’s health focusing on hydration, nutrition and fitness.Purchased and prepared nutritious food choices for all campers and counselors on a daily basis

Mentored between 10-15 elementary school at-risk/high needs students in an after-school program. Assisted children with homework, reading assignments and promoted teamwork.Interacted and mediated between teacher, students and parents on child’s needs.Supervised and participated in indoor/outdoor activities with 15 students at a time.
