During the summer of 2019, I worked on a plethora of different tasks. I worked on-site and in the job trailer everyday assisting the superintendent and project managers experiencing different skills and processes of project managers and superintendents. I learned the drawings and documentation process and contributed with working on Procore. I would take daily photos, daily inspections, and upload them for anyone with access to see. I would sit in on meetings, take notes, and upload meeting minutes onto procore for everyone to reference. I enhanced communication skills and confidence with meetings, emails, and phone calls. Other tasks I helped with was working on blue beam putting together documents for finish carpenters, material takeoff, reviewing and cross referencing submittals with specs. Once the time came, I worked with the owner and subcontractors managing punch list activities. During the last few weeks of this experience, I was completing tasks on my own that a typical project engineer does on a daily basis.

During the summer, I shadowed a union laborer developing knowledge of the construction industry through jobsite observation. I maintained, organized, and cleaned the jobsite, disperse material throughout jobsite, saving the company time and money. By doing this, I displayed great work ethic and dedication to the team. I completed a plethora of miscellaneous tasks including assisting with general punch list items, and helping carpenters and other site workers where needed. Overall, I obtained great relationships, knowledge, and experience on how a jobsite operates.
