Hello,My name's listed as Benjamin, but please call me Ben. I'm an electrical engineering student in my senior year at Purdue University, with interests in power engineering (especially as it relates to sustainability) and embedded systems design. In the past, I've worked at Righthand Technologies as a factory employee, Underwriter's Laboratories as a Lab Intern, and Com Ed as an engineering intern in the distributed energy resources department. Through my first two work experiences, as well as a course on ASIC design, I've learned a considerable amount about the verification process: how to design and run effective tests, how to debug the issues they reveal when necessary, how to communicate the results, and every step in between. In the DER engineering department, I gained hands-on experience analyzing power distribution systems, and I got the chance to collaborate extensively with engineers in other disciplines and departments.Some team-based design projects I've participated in have included a fixture for testing emergency stop switches, a curriculum for a summer engineering outreach program, and the SystemVerilog source code for an AHB-lite enabled USB interface. Please feel free to ask me for details about any of these, I'm always happy to talk about my experiences.Outside of academics and work, my proudest accomplishment is becoming an Eagle Scout. Scouting is where I learned most of the leadership skills I rely on so often today, through leading small group activities at first to running troop meetings by the end, and it's where I initially gained an interest in sustainability.Thank you for taking the time to read about me, and I look forward to talking with you.
