I was in the US Army from '92-'94 doing carpentry, masonry, and operating heavy equipment. I have done factory work, janitorial, maintenance, and management work. I started out in the hotel business as maintenance and worked my way to the General Manager position by having an unrelenting drive to better myself and succeed in everything I do. In my current position with Champion hotels I not only manage my own property, but I assist our Regional manager with multiple other properties, including inspections, training and mentoring new managers, and a variety of other duties. I have increased my knowledge over the years in all aspects of the Hotel Industry. I revamped the companies payroll and monthly reports for 18 hotels in our group, and I am always looking for ways to make my property and company more streamlined and cost effective. As a GM, I am responsible for all aspects of the day to day operations, including payroll, data entry, rate management and purchasing, to name a few
