Current•Wrote proprietary code that obtained, reformatted, and archived Argos Drifter data, generating significant annual savings by replacing an existing third-party service. •Ensured the continuous operation of oceanography equipment by coordinating storage, managing set-up, documenting calibrations, tracking repairs, and maintaining accurate database records and physical files.•Designed and manufactured custom shelving units for storage of oceanography equipment.•Developed and implemented data retrieval and inventory maintenance tracking system.•Attached equipment to protective frames and buoys for deployment on moorings and trawls.•Spent five weeks at sea as part of the NOAA field team conducting the 2015 Western Gulf of Alaska Assessment and performing hydrography on the 70-m isobath in the Bering Sea.•Executed Bongo Net tows and midwater trawls, sorted catches, measured weights and lengths, and collected specimens for preservation.•Supported hydrography on vessel by operating CTDs and taking samples for nutrient, oxygen, and salinity analysis.•Used knowledge of safety standards for handling toxic chemicals to perform lab functions, including titrating water samples at sea. •Hold National Agency of Check and Inquiries clearance for federal employees.
