This position was a growth opportunity in addition to my Sr. Systems responsibilities, expanding on people leadership, resource/workload planning, annual performance reviews, and building/maintaining the best design team within Polaris.Led team of 5 onsite designers that designed every component on a Polaris Snowmobile. Also led our team of 6 offshore designers to assist the onsite Snow Systems/Design team with 2D drawings and other miscellaneous CAD tasks - improving overall efficiency and team output. Assisted in creation and onboarding new role for routing integration engineer to improve manufacturing consistency and quality of our most critical systems.Other notables/projects:- Design and development from concept to production to packaging of one of our best selling accessory, the Flood/Punch Aux Lights for Matryx Snowmobiles (supplier communication, design of all plastic components other than light ASM from supplier, assisted in packaging design, authored draft installation manual for tech pubs, assisted in production of installation videos)- System/Design Owner for 2025 Matryx Titan Bodywork, Driver/Passenger Seats (aggressively reduced Pass Seat cost by 50%, improved comfort and reduced weight, better accessorization, integrated wire routing and overall assembly), Cargo Rack System and Platform (featuring a flip-able accessory pin, maximizing platform usage)- Designed and Developed new Lightweight Headlight, reducing ASM weight by 50% and cost by ~40% (supplier communication, initial system specs/req’s, etc.)- For Fun… concepted the design for one of the best selling T-shirts, the Evolution Tee (started as team shirt and grew into mainstream offering through PG&A)
