Worked in an engineering group comprised of mechanical and biomedical engineering undergraduate and graduate students, and professors to develop improvements on existing NASA space suits by utilizing advanced robotic arm systems and machine learning to improve astronaut’s capabilities while in space. Prototyped a sensor system that could be worn like a sock and combined with known foot biomechanics, could be used to track the movement, position, and angle of the foot in 3D space to control a robotic arm. Designed, coded, and tested multiple computer simulations in the C# based game engine, Unity, in collaboration with other research engineers that will be used to train astronauts to land spacecraft on the Moon and other planets. Routinely presented progress to other researchers, professors, and NASA officials both with and without expertise in the applicable areas of robotics, biomechanics, and aerospace engineering

Worked on multiple experimental studies to investigate the differences in blood flow characteristics of biological side wall cavities and other major blood vessels in the body, notably in aneurysms and the left atrial appendage. As well, investigated the differences between normal heart rhythm conditions and atrial fibrillation conditions within the left atrium and left atrial appendage, and mitigating the issues caused in all these cases, namely blood flow stagnation and clotting, by utilizing hydrophobic surfaces to enhance the flow within the areas of interest.

Independently developed a standard, in-house method for analyzing temperature discrepancies between ANSYS CFD simulation and prototype experimental results of advanced avionics systems.Prototyped many parts to be used in advanced avionics systems using PTC Creo as a CAD system including using many ASME standards and GD&T and tolerance analyses for drawings. Assisted in performing vibrational and thermal testing on advanced avionics systems and mission computers and compiled resulting data into technical reports and presentations

Managed the on-site 3D printing center and designed dozens of parts used in prototype development and qualification test equipment. Prepared technical documentation for many parts of the product lifecycle, from manufacturing instructions to testing procedures and reports to post-production problem reports. Analyzed, reconstructed, and solved issues, namely relating to thermodynamics and component cooling detailed in dozens of post-production problem reports for advanced military aircraft computers
