About Benjamin Engstrom, Ei

I am an aspiring automotive engineer, and a lover of all things cars, especially supercars. I enjoy reading and learning about new technologies. I am American born and raised, but I intend to make an impact in the automotive industry around the world.Currently, I am a student at Clemson University pursuing a master’s degree in Automotive Engineering. I am studying vehicle powertrains and drivelines, the systems that make cars go, and intend to learn about disruptive technologies in the electric vehicle industry. As a supplement to my studies, I intend to acquire a related internship in automotive design that lets me hone the skills I am learning in the classroom.I graduated with my Bachelor of Science in Engineering with a Mechanical concentration from East Carolina University in May 2020. Since that time, I have gained three years of experience as a Design Engineer at two civil engineering firms in Greenville, North Carolina, both of which specialized in water and wastewater management as well as land planning and development. As I have gained experience as an engineer, my goals have adjusted to align more with my passion for automotive technology, landing me in my current program at Clemson University.
