PhD studies in organic chemistry: "emission prevention and chemical utilisation ofcompounds that are harmful to the climate"- Working techniques: development and optimisation ofhomogeneously and heterogeneously catalysed reactions,parallelisation and high-throughput screening, reactions in high-pressure reactors, working under inert gasatmosphere, syntheses on (milli-)gram scale- Usage and maintenance of analytical instruments (GC, GC-MS,HPLC, MPLC, NMR, IR)- Involvement in the conceptual design and programming of anautosampler for a benchtop NMR spectrometer- Presentation of research results (publications, research reports,posters, talks)- Initial build-up and start-up of the organic synthetic laboratoryof the research building ZEMOS at Ruhr-Universität Bochum- Compiling risk assessments and operating instructions, trainingof co-workers and participating in safety inspections- Teaching (conducting laboratory courses, supervising bachelorand master students)

Internship in the department Bioscience Research, synthesis of active ingredient candidates in fungicide development:- Retrosynthesis- Synthesis planning- Analytics and evalutation of chemical reactions- Independent execution of complex chemical reaction sequences
