Supporting Residents to live full and happy lives.

In this voluntary role, I sought to collaborate with a number of local charities and campaigns to organise events and speakers, as well as connect the group up with volunteering opportunities. Key collaborations include hosting events with Restore York and volunteering project collaborations with charities such as the Besom network in York. This required important organisation and persistent communication to get events off the ground, building relationships with important staff. I was particularly proud of organising the group's participation in a local sleepout for homelessness with local North Yorkshire Methodist Youth team. This required persistent liaising with organisers, and I additionally helped organising an awareness raising event run by our group where we invited a prominent CEO of homeless charity Restore and one organiser of the sleepout to speak, inspiring attendees to join and support the sleepout event.

Helped coordinate a campaign with other 18-30s on Climate Finance including a presence at COP26 in Glasgow on 6 November.

Key responsibilities included serving customers, cleaning tables, delivering food. Particularly important skills gained include customer satisfaction and working under pressure to time.

Key responsibilities in this role included preparation and delivery of local youth work, particularly focused on leading a school lunch club at John Mason School, a local secondary school, in conjunction with the Desire network, a local youth work network. Furthermore, key leadership responsibilities included leading the sunday morning group for 11-14 year olds and the sunday night bible study group. Smaller tasks included admin (including risk assessment and logging details) as well as organising events and promotion.
