Being a Director of Operations has many twists and turns. It is very rewarding but very challenging at the same time. Being successful in this role requires attention to detail, running proven systems, reinvesting in the company and the people, and being a servant leader to those around you. Prior to being an owner operator and wearing the Director of Operations hat, I was in the United States Air Force. Before leaving Active Duty status, I was in Recruiting. That job fell under the Human Resources environment and was enriching and rewarding. It has allowed me to have rewarding experiences when it comes to helping others improve their career situations and circumstances. I also enjoy being able to train and mentor those around me. While I have had a very successful career in Recruiting, the most enjoyment I received in that role was helping other people develop within their specialties. I also enjoy helping others achieve new heights in personal and professional growth, as well as the business production side. I get enjoyment out of diving into problems and identifying areas to improve and understanding the "why" to how processes are done. When areas of improvement are identified, I enjoy being able to develop new processes that are affective and make sense. Both of these positions and experiences have really helped develop myself, but also put me in a position to affect hundreds of others in a positive way.
