- Worked with seed lab equipment to count, order, and verify yield trial seed for Almaco PowerPlant system- Assisted in planting, trait collection, harvest, and data analysis of corn, soybeans, & sunflowers- Tasked with recording traits on corn rootworm and greensnap trials over the course of the growing season- Worked in the nursery to organize crews, pollinate inbreds, record flowering notes, and collect phenotypic traits- Operated Obxo and Almaco branded harvesters for final data collection on corn & soybean yield trials- Introduced to PRISM with the responsibility of importing collected data

- Provided weekly reports documenting crop and field conditions for 12,000 acres- Improved my understanding of crop growth & stresses over time by consistently scouting the same fields- Developed my problem-solving skills and practiced self-sufficiency as I scouted fields independently- Expanded knowledge of pest identification and management across a range of conventional & traited crops

- Assisted with planting, drone flights, chemical application recordkeeping, & compliance with regulated material- Led small crews to accurately record seasonal notes such as stand counts and plant/ear heights- Responsible for recording corn flowering notes in multiple locations- Regular inspections of the station’s safety precautions
