I am Managing Director at Australian Heritage Specialists with a wide range of experience and recognition in the cultural heritage industry.My focus is on delivering strategic and practical solutions for projects of any scale and complexity, from initial advice to end-to-end outcomes.I am passionate about Australia’s heritage places and delivering innovative conservation and re-use of heritage buildings and landscapes to preserve and continue their story for future generations, whereby I have led and developed an impressive array of heritage programs since 1999, many ground breaking for their time and still today. I have also worked extensively with a large number of Aboriginal programs with Elders and Community at intimate through to large scale outcomes on Country, including culturally sensitive design initiatives, assessments, consultation, Agreements and surveys.As a leader of multi-disciplinary teams, a change manager and entrepreneurial thinker, I am fortunate to have played a key role in a substantial number of significant projects and places across Australia, particularly Queensland over 20+ years. I have been delegated to a large range of expert panels, including recently assisting the Federal Parliament’s Joint Standing Committee on Northern Australia inquiring into the destruction of 46,000-year-old caves at Juukan Gorge, including expert witness to the hearing and contributing directly to the final report. I am also a stakeholder representative for the Qld Government for the Cultural Acts review underway. Alongside my heritage qualifications and experience, I have strong skills in leadership and team motivation, business development, project management, planning and strategy, quality/risk management, financial accountability, resource management, communications and partnerships.I am the owner of a State heritage place, which gives me insight from the perspective of an owner also.
