Emergency Medical Services Administrator
CurrentResponsible for all operations of EMS Agency including employee oversight, development, and counsel; oversight and enforcement of designated facility regulations and standards; enforcement of ambulance operating regulations and standards, etc.Coordinates employee performance reviews and progressive disciplineDevelops, forecasts, and monitors Agency budgetsEvaluates, coordinates, investigates, and makes recommendations regarding pre-hospital care and servicesReviews, revises, updates, and develops policies, protocols, and procedures regarding Paramedics, EMTs and other pre-hospital personnel scopes of practice and EMS related programsAccepts applications; prepares records for the issuance of certificates including photo identificationDevelops and maintains effective working relationships with all EMS and public safety providers, community groups and other health service agenciesInvestigates and produces written reports in direct response to consumer and provider complaints, responds to inquiries relating to the delivery of EMS, and implements corrective action when necessaryMHOAC duties include but are not limited to: bed polling; coordination of hospitals activating surge plans; evaluation of the availability of resources within Solano County; reporting to the Coastal Region and State on resource status of the County; coordination of medical and health mutual aid requests and resource availability.
