I am a graduate of Johnson & Wales's College of Hospitality, located in Providence, Rhode Island. I majored in Hotel & Lodging Management but I'm actively seeking full-time opportunities in tourist or customer focused organizations that seek to provide their clients with a sense of safety in addition to providing a strong customer experience.While I've just finished my undergraduate degree, I've been working in the hospitality industry since the age of 16 when I took a summer job at Six Flags. I've worked at Six Flags for five summers now, progressing from a team member providing safety checks for roller coasters to a team lead training up to 60 summer employees. I am pleased to report that there were no accidents or injuries on rides that I supervised. (And a lot of people had fun!)At Johnson and Wales, I especially enjoyed my coursework in Operations and Financial Management. I hope to have the opportunity to use these skills professionally, though in the past have found that I enjoy front office work experience as much as -- if not more -- than I do working with accounting processes.Starting in November, 2012, I have been working as a Guest Service Agent at the Sheraton Framingham Hotel & Conference Center in Framingham, MA.I am always interested in talking to others who call the hospitality and travel industry their professional home.
