Emergency Physician volunteer with the Asclepius Snakebite Foundation. The Asclepius Snakebite Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to reversing the tragic cycle of snakebite outcomes through a combination of innovative research, clinical medicine, and education-based public health initiatives.

I am a board certified Emergency Physician in North Carolina. Duties include:-providing direct patient care in the emergency department -diagnosing and treating urgent and emergent medical conditions -caring for trauma patients in a Level I Trauma Center -supervising Advanced Practice Providers-supervising and teaching emergency medicine residents and medical students-Focused interest in the diagnosis and treatment of snake, spider, insect and other bites/envenomations with numerous lectures and clinical consultations on this topic.

Duties include:-providing direct patient care in 6 different emergency departments ranging from freestanding emergency departments to an urban Level I Trauma Center-diagnosing and treating urgent and emergent medical conditions of all types-coordinating care with doctors and other practitioners in varied medical specialties-supervising emergency medicine advanced practice practitioners-supervising and teaching emergency medicine residents from the UNC Chapel Hill School of Medicine-delivering lectures and providing education to students, residents, nurses and other practitioners on snake envenomation and other topics.
