OnePlanet.com is building the digital tools to enable people lead happy healthy lives on the natural resources available on our one planet.I have been involved in developing the platform form its outset and have recently been supporting our customers use the platform to drive transformational change.

Bioregional champions a better, more sustainable way to live. We work with partners to create better places for people to live, work and do business. Our ambition is simple. Bioregional is a registered charity and award winning social enterprise based in the UK, with offices in London, Oxford and Brighton. Bioregional has sister organisations or representative offices in South Africa, Canada, USA, Mexico, Greece and Australia. The charity has, since it was founded in 1994, established a number of associated enterprises to develop or continue the charitable mission and in which the charity sometimes retains an interest.Having worked at Bioregional for 5 years from the London office I have moved to Greece. In Europe the focus has been on evolving our existing work at Mata de Sesimbra, Hollerich Village and Villages Nature, and leading on the development of new projects in France and Germany.In Tanzania I have been leading on supporting Singita Serengeti become the most sustainable tourism and conservation project globally!

Before moving to Greece I was based at BedZED with Bioregional for 5 years, where I had a number of roles, latterly as Director of Bioregional Consulting Ltd, and Director of the One Planet Initiative. Bioregional is a fantastically exciting environment to be working in and some of the highlights of my time there include:One Planet Living Programme Director- Managed and expanded the international network of 6 cutting edge sustainable communities and companies, including One Brighton in the UK, Sonoma Mountain Village in the US and B&Q. Responsible for 3 international members of staff and 3 staff members in the UK- Oversaw development of holistic sustainability action plans for projects looking to join the network; such as Masdar, in the UAE, and projects in China, South Africa and Australia- Implementation of the strategies; e.g. the retrofit programme for the London Borough of Sutton- Facilitated knowledge sharing using internet based tools, conferences and eventsDirector of Bioregional Consulting Ltd- Doubled the annual turnover to more than £500,000, grew the team to 8 staff, and expanded the services to include BREEAM, Code for Sustainable Homes and SAP assessments- Responsible for marketing, systems management, budgetary management, and outreach (particularly developing new business and relationship management with existing clients) - Ecological and Carbon Footprints, costed mitigation strategies and obtaining senior management buy-in for clients including UK Department for Food and Rural Affairs, and Nokia- Devising the sustainability strategies for town masterplans (e.g. Brixton, Haringey, Reading) of up to 8,500 homes, and Olympic Media Centre (London 2012): - Assessed the biomass supply chain for London for the Greater London Authority- Set the energy, waste and materials standards on 6 exemplar English Partnership developments

Established the ECOWEEK Greenhouse programme in Athens and Thessaloniki, supporting 20 young professionals create ecological designs for retrofits of degraded schools.

In Greece I have undertaken environmental consultancy work for a range of clients, and currently am supporting the Post Bank Green Institute establish Athens Green 360 - a programme aiming to reduce the carbon emissions of Attiki by 1M tonnes by working with the largest companies in the peninsular:www.athensgreen360.comI established the carbon footprint methodology for the programme, and lead on the carbon footrpint calculation and carbon reduction plans for the members.
