* Develop investment theses around strategic areas and conduct market and industry analysis* Actively participate in the entire venture lifecycle, including sourcing, evaluating, trading and managing investments* Proactively source potential investment opportunities, meet and screen startups; will have broad exposure to and is expected to* build strong relationships with the venture capital and entrepreneurial ecosystem* Manage and report on active pipelines* Evaluate potential target companies and business cases from a strategic, operational and financial valuation perspective* Provide key analysis and support for transactions and work closely with internal and external partners to execute investments* Manage due diligence and financial analysis of transaction opportunities, including preparing investment memoranda, overseeing legal negotiations, and managing the transaction execution process* Prepare and communicate recommendations to the investment team* Responsible for ongoing monitoring and management of relationships with investee companies and the portfolio review process* Work with various teams across American Express business units to identify areas of opportunity to work with startups within and outside our portfolio

-Lead and oversee the execution of investment banking transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, financing and other financial advisory services-Manage a team of analysts and associates, providing guidance and coaching to ensure successful transaction completion-Participate in the preparation of marketing materials, including brochures, management presentations and other related materials-Perform financial analysis and modeling to support transaction execution and provide valuation guidance to clients-Work with other departments within the firm, including private wealth, private equity and consulting, to ensure comprehensive solutions for clients-Stay informed of market trends, industry developments and regulatory changes to ensure the firm is able to provide relevant and timely advice to clients-Represent the firm at industry events and conferences to maintain and enhance the firm's reputation and client relationships
