Coming up on 2 years working for Johnson Controls as a Service HVAC Controls Technician. I have had the opportunity to gain skills with BACnet, N2, and integrated networks. Working on VAVs, Ahu's, ERU's, chiller plants, loop systems, hot water systems, and VFD drives. Exposed to all kinds of third-party devices and controls, as well as JCI equipment. Gained experience in SCT (databases), CCT (programming), SMP (Site Management Portal), MUI (Metasys), PVT (Performance Verification Tool), Server and IT/Networking troubleshooting, and some Tridium (Niagra). As a JCI employee you work on all sides of the spectrum using multiple software's, every day you get to learn/work with something new.Previously came from the HVAC mechanical background for about 10 years working for a few different companies covering residential, commercial, industrial, and some nuclear. I developed electrical, low voltage, plumbing, print reading, some sheet metal fabrication, and some HVAC parts and sales skills throughout my journey. My first HVAC installation job I got moved up to Install Leader within the first year there and ran a few crews before moving onto a different company with better pay. Before I got into HVAC I worked general construction for about 2 years traveling on the road. Prior to that I served in the Army National Guard fresh out of high school as a Signal Support Specialist working on communications and some networking.
