During the German presideny of the G7 in 2022, I was one of the two Co-Chairs facilitating the G7 Youth Dialogue. Within the framework of the G7 presidency, we organised and hosted a summit for youth representatives from the G7 states and four guest countries. During the summit, we drafted recommendations on all major topics that were to be negotiated by the G7 Heads of States in Elmau. Using a youth specific angle, we subdivided the main topics into five tracks: Sustainable & Green Planet, Economic Transofrmation & Shared Progress, Resilience of Democracies, Global Health & Solidarity and Youth, Peace & Security. During the rest of the presidency we were able to feed our youth-related recommentations into the meetings of several ministries for the individual ministerial negotiation tracks and hence participated in meetings of numerous German Federal Ministries (such as BMAS, BMWK, BMZ, AA) as well as in exchanges with the Sherpa of the German Government in the Federal Chancellory (BkAmt).
