Dr. Jian LU's Nanocrystalline Laboratory- International research experience in Hong Kong through NSF IREE program. - Achieved rapid growth of CuO nanowires utilizing nanocrystalline copper. - Analyzed the nanowire morphology using SEM and the crystal structure using TEM.

• Worked with a team of engineers, physicists, drafters and technicians to design, build, and operate cryogenic systems for high energy experimental physics.• Developed a thermodynamic model of the Tevetron cryogenic system using Excel and MS Visual Basic.• Designed and modeled a cryogenic condenser for a liquid argon purification system.• Developed experiments to analyze the effect of rigid cool down on the tension and mechanical properties of the 4 mil detector wires.
