As Senior DPO, I am responsible for the safe station keeping of the vessel, operation of the power management system and ballast operations. Monitor other vessel movement either by sea or air. Maintain a proper log book and ensure all nautical charts and publications on board are corrected up to date by way of Notice to Mariners. Manage, train and conduct performance evaluations of DPO’s in pursuit of a Sr DPO position. Ensure that continuous testing of DP/Bridge equipment is being performed and properly recorded. Manage the Power Distribution and Controls, Dynamic Positioning system, Bridge Team, and Fire & Gas system. Remote operation of all integrated systems onboard and dispatching of personnel as required.Manage team to ensure that the strengths of personnel best fit the needs of the company and maximize productivity.Created and implemented rig-specific policies and procedures to ensure safe and efficient operations. Developed guidelines for each specific wellhead to ensure agreed upon safe operating parameters between Transocean and our Client.
