Known mostly in the Armed Forces of the Philippines as a Civil Military Officer (CMO), Lt. Col. Hao has just finished his stint as Battalion Commander of the Philippine Army's 7th Infantry Battalion based in Pikit, North Cotabato in January 2013.He served as the Assistant Chief of Staff for CMO, G-7 of 6ID during the infamous Ampatuan massacre incident in 2010; CMO (U-7) and Operations (U-3) officer of the AFP’s National Development Support Command (Nadescom) from 2007 to 2009; Commandant of the Army’s Civil Military Operation School from 2003 to 2005; and Commander of the 2nd Civil Affairs Unit in Calabarzon in the early 2000s. Lt. Col. Hao is a graduate of Command and General Staff Course, Public Affairs Course at the Defense Information School in Maryland USA, and has Masters degree in Development Communication from the University of the Philippines Open University. He is currently finishing his Fellowship on Mindanao Bridging Leadership Program at the Asian Institute of Management.
