I believe real change comes from those who are willing to listen, embrace opinions and be constantly willing to learn from others. I live life to the full and try to encourage and empower those around me to do the same. I believe that no matter who you are and what status or position you hold, everyone deserves the right to be heard and treated with respect. In all the businesses I have worked for I have been instrumental in implementing change to support strategic growth, working alongside key stakeholders to improve the efficiency and profitability of the business. Since migrating to Australia from the UK, I have established and owned several successful businesses. I am currently seeking volunteer or board opportunities that utilise my experience and align with my core values. I am particularly interested in roles where I can contribute to a team who are excited and passionate about making a difference. (50km walk raising over $20,000), Pankind (35km walk raising over $6,500).● Previous member of the Oatley Lions Club. ● I have a keen interest in holistic health and fitness, which I have utilised to manage an autoimmune disease to live a positive and active lifestyle. ● Training and leading teams for annual endurance fitness events such as Raw Challenge (obstacle race), City to Surf, Harbour run (10km), and other team fitness-based events. ● Established a Run Club in the local community to guide participants through a 12-week training program to allow them to participate and work towards achieving running goals. ● Designed and led a 6-week boot camp challenge to prepare participants for Stampede (10km obstacle race). ● I am passionate about animal rights, the impact of the current agricultural industry on our environment, and the future sustainability of the planet’s resources. ● I have and continue to be a strong advocate for diversity, equality, and human rights. ● I am keen on World War II and the political connotations in the lead-up to and during this and the holocaust. ● I am a keen runner and have participated in many organised festivals.
