Provide telemental health services via videoteleconferencing platforms to rural and underserved populations. Provide treatment for Obsessive-Compulsive and Related Disorders (e.g., OCD, Hair-Pulling Disorder), and Anxiety Disorders (e.g., Panic Disorder, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Social Phobia). Services provided are evidence-based treatments consisting exclusively of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, and exposure-based, interventions (e.g., Exposure and Response Prevention therapy for OCD, Panic Control Treatment for Panic Disorder with/out Agoraphobia). Collaborate and consult with medical and other mental health professionals in rural and underserved areas to allow for the provision of specialized, high-quality care.

Provided individual therapy in a private practice setting. Areas of expertise included obsessive-compulsive disorder and anxiety disorders. Other therapeutic issues included major depressive disorder, posttraumatic stress disorder, and adjustment disorders. Utilized cognitive-behavioral, exposure-based, and interpersonal interventions. Consulted with other LivingRite clinicians during regular weekly consultation meetings, as well as on an as-needed basis. Referred clients to alternative/complementary treatment providers (e.g., psychiatrists, intensive treatment programs, substance abuse counselors) as necessary, and maintained communication with other treatment providers to ensure continuity of care. Provided trainings on areas of expertise during LivingRite’s quarterly didactic trainings.

Provided short-term therapy and case coordination to adult clients in the community. Therapeutic issues included major depressive disorder, bipolar disorder, anxiety disorders, posttraumatic stress disorder, adjustment disorders, chronic pain, and anger management. Facilitated psychoeducational groups for clients. Provided comprehensive assessment to clients in urgent situations, opened clients to the agency, demonstrated independent decision-making skills based on qualified clinical judgment for the provision of services, and linked clients with those services. As part of on-call responsibilities, provided mobile Screening Assessment and Support Services (SASS) screenings, as well as mobile screenings for state-funded hospitalizations or deflections, including Uniform Screening and Referral Form (USARF) completions.

Provided psychosocial rehabilitation services with adult residents of all ages. Services provided included individual and group counseling, crisis management, psychosocial assessment, treatment planning/evaluation, discharge planning, case management, community linkage, and referral to community programs or more appropriate facilities. Developed and facilitated several therapeutic group programs (e.g., Coping with Anxiety, Coping with Depression, Anger Management) based on empirically-validated research protocols.

Conducted psychosocial evaluations and collaborated with patients and their families or significant others, physicians, and the interdisciplinary team to ensure that patients received the appropriate level of care and services to meet their ongoing healthcare needs. Obtained pre-certification through insurance companies for inpatient psychiatric hospitalization when necessary. Made appropriate referrals for outpatient care.
