I overhauled our existing telephony infrastructure to be self healing and be built and deployed using modern tools - Ansible, Packer, and Terraform. This includes automating the deployment and management of Oracle's Enterprise Session Border Controller.I changed our development git and release flow from a "waterfall" release branch model to a more typical GitHub-esque flow where development occurs on a main branch and releases are cut from it as needed. This included automating many common release tasks, including git cherry-pick tasks.I assisted with creating an AWS Lambda project and deployment to AWS GovCloud to facilitate communication and resource sharing across multiple Emergency Communication Centers. The project was built from scratch using the AWS CDK and leveraged AWS Step Functions and AWS CodeBuild to allow continuous deployment of the solution.I am currently introducing ArgoCD to the engineering teams using AWS EKS to make Kubernetes deployments of Helm applications easier and more visible.

Current engagement: Application migration between cloud providers.Previous engagement: I piloted, developed, and led the development effort to stand up and make available a HashiCorp Vault server cluster for secrets management at a client. Our team made wide use of AWS's suite of services, HashiCorp Terraform, and GitLab CICD to automate the delivery and stability of the server product, including and up to initializing the server and making it ready to manage secrets without any manual intervention.

I built and piloted HBO's adoption of a Jenkins continuous delivery pipeline, building on and improving the current continuous integration practices. This included creating a Jenkins shared library, aiding in creating the processes for developers, QA, and others around the CD workflow, and improving the other portions of the build such as our Ansible configuration solution and piloting containers involved in the pipeline.

I maintained build scripts written in Bash, Groovy and the local CI server written in Bash and Perl for mobile applications. I started our company's transition to using a Jenkins CI server with an ASP.NET Core front-end instead. All throughout, I solved developers’ and customers’ iOS and Android build and submission issues (iOS far more often).

I worked on a team that manually tested healthcare mobile apps in a process-first environment. I personally owned testing the infrastructure of the applications and aided other testers and developers with setting up and using the necessary communication infrastructure. I also assisted customers on-site with initial launches for end users by providing at-the-elbow support.

Our classes' primary goal was to prepare freshman engineer students for qualifying exams to finish their degree in the UK. I also taught conversational English to undergraduate students in spoken and written forms, and worked with a multinational team to create lesson plans.

My team read, reviewed, and researched government bids for gasoline and diesel fuels across the nation for amounts from 50,000 gallons a year to 15,0000,000 gallons a year. I created daily reports and spreadsheets in Excel to show fuel sold, various pricing offers, and more. I occasionally answered phones and interacted with customers, taking fuel orders and discussing pricing options and specifications of various fuels. I also hired temporary employees for various short-term positions around the country.
