I have been working in the healthcare industry for 21 years working from a Care Worker in Dementia Care to a Support Manager in adult LD + MH services . My main area of work currently is Operational Management . I have also worked with complex cases as a support worker and a manager as well working in partnership with the local LDP as well as managing budgets. I am fully versed in windows in particular outlook and word which I use on a daily basis. One part of my work that is very important to me is seeking positive outcomes for the people we support and maintaining consistent support teams through value led 1-1s and regular support meetings as well as this another important part of my work is delivering SCIP training as I am also an accredited instructor. I am fully versed in all aspects of working as a Operations Manager and my current role is very varied and allows me to constantly learn new skills. I am interested in developing support teams and support services with a focus on being person centered in all aspects of my role and understanding the balance between being a role modal and being able to manage expectations and targets. I have experience of developing support managers and have experience in working through human resource issues on a day to day basis. I would describe my management style as having old fashioned values with a modern dynamic approach with my values at the centre of what I want to achieve. .
