Studying to become a mathematics and IT subject teacher at the University of Helsinki. I have an MSc. in Neurocognitive Psychology from Germany and a BSc. in Psychology with Honours from the UK. Some background on me: I was not interested in clinical work with patients, but instead, I focused on research in the field of psychology. After coming back to Finland I began to study to become a mathematics and IT teacher for three reasons. Firstly, I have always been interested in education but abroad there weren't opportunities to combine pedagogy with psychology. Secondly, I wanted to strengthen my math, statistics, and computer science understanding as I find these to be incredibly fascinating areas in modern times. Thirdly, I do not currently wish to pursue a PhD and opportunities in research are few and far between for someone without one. I have found my previous studies in psychology quite helpful in transitioning into teaching mathematics and computer science.- I aspire to work in data analytics, statistics, machine learning, research, teaching or education-related field/s. Currently looking for employment. - I yearn to work in the field and put theories into practice.- I am an enthusiastic, optimistic, and social individual who likes working with people. I am a very independent worker, who is able to adapt and learn rapidly on the job.
