Assist crew chief by creating or checking survey notes, recover or establish horizontal and vertical control, setting and marking stakes, and pounding hubs or right of way to ensure accuracy and consistency. Responsible for calibration and maintenance of survey equipment, as well as procuring supplies for daily work.

Responsible for determining the geotechnical engineering properties andstratigraphy of soils by utilizing cone penetration testing. Conduct screening and/or sampling of soil and groundwater. Document results and review data for accuracy and completeness. Conduct site surveying and mapping utilizing GIS and GPS software. Coordinate with the project manager and client representative to ensure project goals are met.
