-Prepare comprehensive and accurate construction project estimates for the complete construction of new commercial and residential construction projects.-Analyze contract drawings to provide take off calculations and develop estimates.-Prepare hard bid, negotiated, design/build, and public works project estimates.-Read, understand, identify, and price information contained in the contract drawings, contract specifications, and related contract documents.-Solicit subcontractors and answer questions, RFI’s, and act as the liaison between subcontractors and the architect to ensure the scope of work is clear and priced correctly.-Prepare general conditions information based on historic data and forecasting of project requirements.-Research subcontractors, suppliers, and new or improved construction materials to ensure estimates are prepared with the most competitive products and pricing available in the marketplace.-Prepare the Job Book for projects awarded, detailing estimated amount per item of work.-Write subcontract exhibits and purchase orders to identify the contractual work responsibility of each company to be awarded a contract. -Establish preliminary budget estimates for clients and/or architects during design development of the project documents
