As a Peer Minister my responsibilities include planning and organizing church events for students and parishioners, outreaching and communicating with students at the parish and on campus, and providing insight on how to improve the mission. The position involves working on a team under the leadership of a full-time missionary and the parish priest as well as taking on individual work to benefit the team and the parish. My coursework in architecture and design has also provided me with opportunities to design posters, brochures and various media for the parish.

Currently I am pursuing a Bachelor of Design in Architecture with interest in landscape architecture. I will be entering my senior year and I am on track to graduate in the spring of 2014. In addition to my academic courses I played rugby for the University of Minnesota for two and a half years. I am also involved in two Catholic campus leadership teams through St. Paul's Outreach and St. Lawrence Catholic Church and Newman Center.

Camp Wojtyla is a youth adventure camp for middle school and high school boys and girls. The camp is Catholic and teaches young people the faith through an outdoor experience. The camp takes place from the end of May to the beginning of August and includes four 1 week long single sex camping sessions. During the time my work varies from being a counselor for middle school and high school boys to cooking, cleaning, and running various camp activities for middle school and high school girls. The diversity of the position as well as the physical and mental challenges of working in the mountains for 2 months has led to an increase in leadership, communication and team skills as well as a variety of outdoor adventure skills.

As a delivery driver my responsibilities included in store, over the phone, and delivery customer service. Responsibilities included food preparation and general upkeep of the facility.
