- Liaison with a focus on business development between the Faculty of Engineering and engineering firms (foreign and domestic) seeking top McGill University engineering talent for internship or full-time opportunities; also providing guidance and career development advice and strategies to the McGill University Engineering student populace- primary point of contact for companies recruiting undergraduate, graduate or postgraduate students for internships and/or full-time employment- coordination of on-campus recruitment activities- communication to industry regarding internal student-run initiatives and events- communication to students regarding external industry events and opportunities- administer Faculty Corporate Packages to promote the Engineering Career Centre to prospective companies- attract company sponsorships to further create opportunities for engineering students- monitor technological developments, including entrepreneurial initiatives and new job market trends- provide career advising and guidance to students- present career development workshops on a variety of topics throughout the year- assist with leadership development activities, outreach to industry and alumni for event support/involvement- promotion, organization and coordination of events both on and off-campus- represent the unit at both internal and external events- creative solutions to increase employer/student engagement on-campus
